Text message consent

How guests of Backpocket Dubuque and Driftless Pizza Co. (BPTRDBQ LLC, 333 E. 10th Street, Dubuque, Iowa 52001) agree to receive texts from us.

What we text

Only messages about the guest's own visit: their place on the waitlist and when their table or duckpin lane is ready, their table or lane reservation (the confirmation and a link to change it), their event or party inquiry and booking, and their catering order. We text from (563) 227-0339. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

We never send marketing texts under this consent. Marketing texts need a separate checkbox that starts unticked and is never required.

How guests opt in

Guests type their own mobile number into one of our online forms. Right beside the number box, every form shows this notice before the guest submits:

Giving a number is never a condition of a booking or purchase. Guests can call us instead.

1. Table reservations

2. Waitlist

5. At the host stand (verbal)

When a walk-in guest joins the waitlist in person, our host asks: "Can we text you when your table is ready? Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP any time." The host types the number only if the guest says yes.

The first text

A guest's first text from us names us and says how to stop, for example: "Hi Sam, you're on the Backpocket waitlist for 4. Your wait is about 25 min. See your live wait: [link] Reply STOP to opt out."

Opting out

Replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT stops every text from us to that number, from every part of our system, until the guest replies START. HELP replies with our phone number and email. Our full SMS Terms and Privacy Policy say more.
